1. Benefits and Application
GB-CKR90 is a calcined kaolin treated with a vinyl functional silane for use with peroxide and other free radical crosslinking systems.
Calcined kaolin is produced from highly refined kaolin by heating at temperature above 1000 degree. During calcination, chemical, morphological and mineralogical changes occur.
GB-CKR90 has been specifically developed for use in high voltage power cable insulations based on EPR and EPDM rubbers. GB-CKR90 imparts good insulating properties which are maintained both at high working temperatures and under wet conditions for the working life of the cable.
